This website, converterusa.com, is operated by Jonáš Škorvanek, Jánošíkova 42, 080 01 Prešov, Slovakia (company ID: 57 768 986) — "Converter", "we" or "us". We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Because we are based in the European Union, we process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and we apply the same standards to visitors and clients from the United States.

02What data we collect

We only collect what we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact details you send us through forms or email: your name, email address, phone number, company name and website.
- Information about your project: the services you're interested in, your budget range and the message you write to us.
- Booking details if you schedule a call: the date, time and contact details you enter.
- Project and billing information if you become a client: contracts, invoices, payment status and communication related to the project.
- Technical data when you visit the website, such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and the site that referred you.

We don't ask for sensitive data such as health information, and we ask you not to send it to us.

03How we use your data and why

We use your data for the following purposes, each based on a legal ground under the GDPR:
- To reply to your inquiry and prepare a proposal — to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
- To provide our services and manage our cooperation — performance of a contract.
- To issue invoices, keep records and meet tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
- To keep the website secure and understand how it's used — our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
- To send occasional updates, only if you've agreed — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We don't use your data for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

04Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with trusted service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
- Website hosting (for example, Framer)
- Form handling and workflow automation (for example, Make)
- Databases and project management tools (for example, Airtable or Trello)
- Email and calendar tools (for example, Google Workspace, Cal.com or Calendly)
- Payment processing (for example, Stripe) — we never see or store your full card details
- AI services used to build and run the solutions you order (for example, OpenAI), when relevant to your project

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

05International transfers

Some of our providers are based in the United States or in other countries outside the European Economic Area. When your data is transferred there, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

06How long we keep it

• Inquiries that don't lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last contact.
• Client and project data: for the duration of our cooperation and as long as needed to handle any claims afterwards.
• Invoices and accounting records: for the period required by law (up to 10 years).
• Website analytics: in aggregated or anonymized form where possible.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

08How we protect your data

10U.S. residents

We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing info@converterusa.com, and we won't treat you differently for doing so.

11Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes, we'll let our clients know directly.
